BOLM ROAD COMMUNITY MURAL

We had a great time leading this community painted mural in the Govalle neighborhood of East Austin with Raisin in the Sun and Can’d Aid . Ami sketched out a piece promoting the ideals of reuse and recycle that was broken down into small shapes and Raasin and her crew got the folks out there (200 in 2 days) to come in each of the shapes, in any way that inspired them! After the wall was all painted Ami, with some help from Alison Skinner dropped that outline on to bring it all back together. All in all a lovely mix of individual creativity and expression all working together to a common goal. Drive down Bolm Road this summer and check it out, there will be some other amazing murals going up on that long stretch of wall between Springdale and Airport.
