FESTIVALS

My work is based in real-time creation, and festivals—music, art, food, etc…—are amazing environments for it, both in the inspiration they provide and the opportunity to engage festival-goes with it. From Live Sketching, real-time Projection Drawing and Mural Painting as a different way for folks to see the sites and sounds transpire, Group Art Activities that allows festival goers to be creative in their own right, Environmental Artwork that helps set the vibe, to animated content created from the event—my Gonzo Viz creative activations creates an amazing artistic engagement for all involved. Live MURAL PaintING

For a great atmospheric addition to the music, I can create spontaneous, large scale artwork based upon real times observations—the bands, the fans, and the environment—as the festival transpires. Post event the artwork makes a great piece of artwork for corporate spaces or private homes, and can be sold or used as part of giveaways!

Live Projection Drawing

A twist on traditional projection shows—I will hook my tablet to the projection device and project in real-time what I capture, so the crowd can see the artistic interpretation of the sights and sounds of the fest as it unfolds! Timelapse’s of the drawings can also be projected in (almost) real time and easily shared as video files for great, immediate video content for screen in between sets and in digital media.

Group Art Activities

When a crowd comes together to create something, there is a little they can’t accomplish and the results almost always amaze. In my group art activities participants, from artistic novices to experienced creatives, are given an easy and fun venue to express their ideas and creativity, and play in a pressure free environment with all sorts of creative media. And as the festival transpires their contributions contribute into a larger project which is a great piece of environmental engagement as well as great content for post-event media.

Our current offerings are group mural and animation creation. In the Mural Creation, participants are given a section or tile to decorate as they like (sort of like a giant coloring book page) , as long as they stay within the structure and it is added to the greater mural as they go! In the group Animation Creation, participants will be given a frame of animation to color or paint and the animation will be composite in real-time, so they can swing back by and see their frame in motion!

Posters

In the spirit of my live, Gonzo-style drawing, I can create great festival posters and associated creative assets to help promote the festival and as retail sale items!

Animation

Based on my live drawing cut to captured wild audio, I can create amazing animation for killer post-event digital as well as for unique projection contentduring the fest!

LIVE SKETCHING

The root of all of this and my first Austin Love is drawing live music. Since I first arrived here in 2012, I have been roaming stages and catching some amazing bands and fans. It makes for a unique way to capture any festival and can be used for amazing content real-time and post-fest.
