Austin-based technology company SourceDay wanted to celebrate its series B funding announcement with all the people who have contributed to the success of the company, but the pandemic driven closures made that challenging to say the least. Determined, SourceDay CMO Sarah Moore engaged strategic event marketing company GG & Co., Gonzo Viz and Country musician Randy Rogers to help create a fun and engaging virtual experience to bring everyone together in this challenging time.
Working on the Zoom platform, our own Ami Plasse sketched along with camera on tablet to the opening remarks and stories + Randy’s rousing performance. He then entered the “Portrait” breakout room, where attendees could watch him sketch themselves and their coworkers. The event turned out to be a lot of fun, achieving a warm and intimate feeling not easily attained on virtual platforms, so props to all involved. Post-event Ami completed sketches of all 56 attendees in stills, also delivering the timelapse video of each portrait as well as large composite image memorializing the event (and which will be printed beautifully on acrylic when the crisis subsides).
